This article proposes two chemically activated methods to uilize the sewage slugde to make up cativated carbon.The major factor and processing condition to effect on preparation of activated carbon sludge were discussed.The test results indicated that (1)the optimal conditions were 3mol/l Zncl2,0.3mol/l Cucl2 solution-immersed sludge pyrolyzed at 500℃for 60 min.The macimal iodine of sludge activated carbon was 534mg/g.(2)the optimal conditions were 4mol/l Zncl2 solution-immersed sludge pyrolyzed at 550℃for 90 min.The macimal iodine of sludge activated carbon was 392mg/g.BET surface area and FT-IR were used to evaluate the performance of sludge activated carbon.The average pore diameter of activated carbon was 24.94nm,BET surface area was 356.70m2/g.This activated carbon was of a abundant mesopores,and could be suitable for adsorption of large molecules such as Organic wastewater.The activated carbon which was prepared by ZnCl2/CuCl2 activated method was deal with Pharmaceutical wastewater.The adsorption of activated carbon sludge as adsorbent to COD and TOC was studied.When the dosage of activated carbon from sludge was 0.8g,the time of adsorption was 150min ,the removal efficiency of COD was 78.32%,the removal efficiency of TOC was 63.08%.Fractal dimension can describe the preparation process of surface roughness, fractal dimension and sample preparation process and iodine value change rule of adsorption.The results show that when the fractal dimension of samples is larger,its adsoption is better.
