With the development of automation, modern hot continuous rolling relies on rolling process model more than before. China has had the strength to compete with imported equipment in design and manufacture of the hot rolling mill, but the rolling process model, as the core technology of hot rolling, still behind the advanced world levels. Deformation resistance is an important mathematical model and basic parameters of hot strip continuous rolling process. Combining the needs of domestic hot rolling process and control technology research, this article carried out experiment study of deformation resistance based on 9 typical material and database software development suitable for online control. The main contents are as follows:1. According to the theory of rolling metal plastic deformation, that effects of chemical composition, deformation temperature, deformation and deformation rate on deformation resistance were studied, and the influences of different deformation resistance model functions on calculation accuracy of rolling force were analyzed. Based on the characteristics of plastic deformation of steel and aluminum, the deformation resistance models suitable for online control were identified.2. The effects of deformation temperature, deformation rate and deformation on deformation resistance were investigated by hot compression method of 9 typical materials with Gleeble-1500 thermal simulator. By means of nonlinear regression analysis, Regression coefficients of deformation resistance of different material are obtained. And the deformation resistance models satisfied requirements of hot continuous rolling process are established.3. According to the needs of online control on hot continuous rolling, this article built a database of material deformation resistance using ACCESS database software, and development a visualized calculation software of material deformation resistance, which realized calculation of deformation resistance, curve drawing, comparison of predicted values and experimental values, experiment data export, report generation and database maintenance and other functions. Through the interface function in software, the software can connect with control system of hot continuous rolling.Results of this study can be base of hot continuous rolling process of related materials.
