Arsenic compounds are widely used in agriculture and industry, resulting a large number emissions of arsenic wastewater, then severely environment pollution. Environmental scientists around the world have paid great attention to the problem brought out by arsenic compounds that contaminate the environment, especially the water source. Therefore, it makes important sense to develop a thorough, simple and economical method to remove the arsenic from the wastewater or drinking water source at present. In this paper, a class of ionic liquids containing crown ether structure as the cation were synthesized, which will be effective on the arsenic wastewater treatment. This paper contains the following three part research work:Synethsis of crown ether-based ionic liquids. Two hydrophobic ionic liquids: N-methyl, ethyl monoaza-15-crown-5 hexafluorophosphate and N-methyl, butyl monoaza-15-crown-5 hexafluorophosphate were synthesized in the paper. FT-IR infrared analysis showed that the synthesized ionic liquids containing crown ether macrocyclic structure, TGA results showed that the two ionic liquids have good thermal stability, and both of their initial decomposition temperature are above 200℃.Preparation of adsorption material loaded with ionic liquid. Inorganic porous material zeolites loaded with ionic liquid using physical impregnation were prepared in the paper, effects of different dispersing solvents, ionic liquid adding amount, reacting time and oscillation intensity were studied. The result showed that ionic liquid loading rate was above 80% when dichloromethane as the dispersion solvent, amount ratio of ionic liquid and zeolite is 1.0:3.0, reaction time 12 h.Removal performance study of arsenic by ionic liquid-loaded adsorption material. Effects of ionic liquid loading amount arsenic initial concentration solution pH value and reaction time on arsenic removal rate were studied in the paper. The experiment showed that As(Ⅴ) removal rate can be up to 95% by crown ether-loaded zeolite when solution pH is 2-3, As (Ⅲ) removal rate can be up to 60% by crown ether-loaded zeolite when solution pH is 6-7. According to the adsorption data fitted by Langmiur, the arsenic saturated adsorption capacity on the adsorption materials were obtained. The saturated adsorption capacity of As(Ⅴ) and As(Ⅲ) on the non-loaded zeolite are 19.26 mg·g-1 and 7.51 mg·g-1, The saturated adsorption capacity of As(Ⅴ) and As(Ⅲ) on the imidazole-based ionic liquid-loaded zeolite are 27.39 mg·g-1 and 11.04 mg·g-1, The saturated adsorption capacity of As(Ⅴ) and As(Ⅲ) on the crown ether-based ionic liquid-loaded zeolite are 28.16 mg·g-1 and 13.28 mg·g-1.The experimental results showed that the arsenic removal ability of zeolite is improved significantly after zeolite loaded with ionic liquids.
