Wasted coolant coming from machining industry is a kind of industry wastewater which contains much oil and has high COD value. If discharged directly, wasted coolant could pollutes the environment seriously and it is very stable. At present, the majority of domestic wasted coolant treatment failed toachieve the desired effect, So the study on treatment of wasted coolant is always a focusand difficulty in the field of wasted coolant pollution control.By means of relatively systemic commissioning and application study, this paper aims to provide a basis for stable and reliable performance of the wasted coolant treatment, and for the optimization of different treatment craft combinations as well, combined with the research tasks and certain practical projects.Methods:Onsite commissioning; Sampling and testing; Expense benefit analysis.Content:On the basis of analyzing the characteristics of wasted coolant and various wasted coolant treatment technologies, this paper makes detailed comparative study on diverse pre-treatment wasted coolant process, principal treatment process and advanced treatment unit. Meanwhile, it chooses manifold wasted coolant processing facility of sewage treatment station belonged to an engine manufacturing company in Xi'an machining wasted coolant treatment station as researching platform for practical operation. What's more, this paper carries out an expense benefit analysis considering some aspects such as result of treating, cost of investment, operation management, and environmental influence and so on. In the end, it puts forward integrated treatment technic which is suitable for different water dynamics changes and various discharge requirements and selects a comprehensive leachate treatment process adapted to Xi'an machining wasted coolant treatment station.Conclusions:(1) Considering with the treatment effect of different stages and the anti-load capacity during long-term operation, integrated wasted coolant treatment is preferable. The characteristics of this integrated treatment are concluded as follows:the joint approach of emulsion breaking-fenton reagent-chemical coagulation is used at early stage, then, utilize SBR as the main treatment process, finally select activated carbon treatment technique, ultimately, its effluent could meet the national discharge standard of Classâ…¡. (2) By means of commissioning and expensebenefit analysis; this paper believes that the utilization of integrated Emulsion breaking/Fenton reagent/Chemical coagulation+SBR+ Activated carbon technics is feasible in Xi'an machining wasted coolant treatment station.
