Several formulations of combustion energetic fragments are designed under the expected goals. Each performance index of combustion energetic fragments is determined such as combustion temperature, burning velocity, moisture absorption and so on. The relationship between properties and composition of combustion energetic fragments are researched.The overall design scheme of combustion energetic fragments is proposed. Two backing material of curing is respectively designed according to the expected goals. One backing material of curing is consists of magnesium powder, aluminum powder and Fe3O4. The other backing material of curing is consists of magnesium powder, aluminum powder, zirconium powder and Fe3O4. The caking agent is made up of 2.2-bis(4-glycidyloxyphenyl)propane and low molecular weight 650 polyamide resin. Several basis formulations are planned through different proportion between backing material of curing and caking agent. The ultimate formulations are determined on the basis of basis formulations through constantly optimization design. The combustion energetic fragments are successfully prepared through certain preparation craft according to the ultimate formulations.A series of performance test of energetic fragments is carried out. The performance test results show that the moisture of energetic fragments is less than 4.67%, the combustion temperature reach 1388.8℃, the burning rate is lower than 0.6702g·cm-2·s-1. What's more, the oxygen difference influences the combustion temperature obviously. The main reason that effect burning velocity is the density and the content of caking agent of energetic fragments. The higher density of energetic fragments, the faster burning rate of it. The more content of caking agent, the lower burning rate of energetic fragments. Meanwhile, the powder of zirconium can also affect the property of energetic fragments.A plan is designed to ignite the combustion energetic fragments in the wooden case. At the same time of energetic fragment is burning, the wooden case begin to burn.
