| The modern slab caster is composed of crystal section,segment,straightening device,banana-seat which support the fan-shaped section.The support stiffness of the banana-seat decided the accuracy of the fan-shaped section arc.Thus affecting the normal resistance and normal pressure. Therefore, in the production process, banana-seat played a key role to ensure stable operation, Equipment life, Slab surface quality, Slab inside quality.To address the billet continuous casting machine in Steelmaking Plant of Meishan Iron, using the finite element software of Fluent to do the finite element analysis whict about the heat transfer, the thermal radiation, the thermal convection in the process of the slab straightening, and obtained the temperature distribution of the banana-seat in the process of the slab straightening. Finally, it obtained the stress distribution of the banana-seat by using the finite element software of Ansys and the method of hand heat engine coupled. The results will have a good guide for the segment design, the process system and the analysis of slab quality.The major research contents are concluded as the followings:1.
