The design, manufacture and quality inspection of fragile composites are more complicated than general structure composites. How to make these structure having enough strength and stiffness, while at non-explosive trigger conditions, can be required to fragmentation is the main contents of the paper.The structural design and study on the manufacture of fragile composite materials on the use of non-explosive methods to trigger are the primary content of this paper. In this paper, taking the point of view of bionics, and according to that the egg can withstand greater stress, using the proposed strength design composite structures theory, a kind of bionic dome made of fragile composite materials is designed, and is manufactured and tested in the laboratory. A biomimetic composite materials fragile mortar shell structure is designed imitating the explosive ejection of seeds. The structure is manufactured by filament winding, and its structural performance is tested. Unidirectional continuous fiber composite material have high tensile strength in longitudial direction and in crosswise is easily torn.A fragile laminated composite materials is made by the unidirectional fiber plies with the nicks along the vertical fiber direction.The mechanical behavior of the structure under the concentrated force and its destruction form under impact load are studied experimentaly.
