| Borate whisker was synthesized by Flux Growth Method, the optimized conditions are that the radio of (Mg:B:K) is 1:2:2 and the reaction time is 8h at 800℃. The crystal phases of Mg2B2O5 were analyzed by SEM, TEM and XRD. Borate whiskers were modified with SDBS, and then observed their structure and measured their activity index. The results showed that the surface of borate whisker was attached to the modifier, and its surface wettability was changed.APP was microencapsulation by in-situ polymerization with melamine resin. The MAPP was analyzed by FT-IR and SEM, the result indicates that melamine resin was coated on the surface of APP. Furthermore the MAPP was determined by TG and DSC, the decomposition temperature of MAPP was in line with APP and keeped the flame retardant properties aswell as APP. If the processing conditions of MAPP were different, the peaks of decomposition temperature were changed.The PA6 composites were prepared with different proportions of Mg2B2O5, modified Mg2B2O5, APP and MAPP by extruding and pelletizing with double screw extruder. Rheology, thermal properties, mechanical properties and flam retardant properties of composites were analyzed by TG and TEM, and so on. The results showed that the modified borate whisker enhancement and microencapsulated ammonium polyphosphate flame-retardant effect were obvious. |
