The safety of coal mine is the most important thing of the present safety in production, while coal and gas outburst is the most serious kind of natural disasters in the production of the colliery. Launching the research of the predication of coal and gas outburst continuously is of reality and significance to the safety in production of the colliery. The mechanism of the disaster is not clear yet, however the accidents caused by that become much heavier. Based on the theory that coal and gas outburst is the results of the combined effects of geostress, gas pressure and physical and mechanical properties of coal, the method of using the variation of coal temperature, electromagnetic radiation, acoustic emission, the coal type of damage, and geological structure of coal sea predicating coal and gas outburst is put forward.At first, the current research of coal and gas outburst and the issues of predicting coal and gas outburst systems have been concluded. The relationship between geostress, gas pressure and the variation of coal temperature, electromagnetic radiation, acoustic emission has been analyzed. The relationship between physical and mechanical properties of coal and coal structure, geological structure has also been analyzed. At the same time, the analysis of relationship between the variation of coal temperature, electromagnetic radiation, acoustic emission, the coal type of damage, geological structure and coal and gas outburst has been done. It is deemed that the variation of coal temperature, electromagnetic radiation, acoustic emission, the coal type of damage, and geological structure of coal sea can be regarded as sensitive indexes of predicting coal and gas outburst.In view of the problems of current predicting coal and gas outburst systems, by using Visual FoxPro software programme, the comprehensive system of predicting coal and gas outburst, which is based on the method of multidimensional grey assessment of grey system theory is made. By combining the predicting system and the monitoring system, the comprehensive system of C/S structure is made. Besides the function of predicting outburst, the system can also query, retrieve, count and output the outburst data. Moreover, it can monitor the environment of mine and make warning.
