The Giant Stress-Impedance(GSI) effect is a newly discovered special physical effect after GMI effect in recent years,which has high research and application values in soft-magnetic material field.The GSI effect is the phenomenon that some amorphous,which is excited by high-frequency signal,it's impedance changes a lot when it's stressed.The newly explored sensor based on GSI effect has many advantages over conventional sensor, such as,high sensitivity,small size,quick response,low power use.Accelerometer is the core of inertia measure system,it has great value to research new type accelerometer based on GSI effect not only in theory,but also in engineering.Some technologies in designing the accelerometer based on GSI effect are discussed systematically in this paper.For example,the theory of GSI effect is researched,the principle and structure of the sensor are analyzed and the conditioning circuits are designed.The theory of the GSI effect,the method of produce and anneal the amorphous alloy material and the influence factors on GSI effect are described systematically in thispaper.Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 composite soft-magnetic film based on amorphous powder/rubber is adopted as the sensitive element.Based on the analysis above,the theory of the accelerometer based on GSI effect is introduced.The structure,which is done modal analysis by ANSYS,is designed.Besides,the conditioning circuits of the sensor are designed,which include excitation signal,wave detection,filter and amplifier circuits.All of the circuits are optimized and simulated by OrCAD/Pspice,the schematic and PCB are made by Altium Designer 6,all of them are debugged successfully.The static characteristics of the accelerometer are acquired by the data from calibration test.The result turned out that the accelerometer has eminent properties,such as excellent linearity,high sensitivity and good repeatability within a certain range.The sensor can be used in the low g measurement field.
