More and more attention has been given to NiTi shape memory alloys due to its excellent Shape Memory Effect (SME) and Super Elastic Effect (SE). The shape memory alloy thread and spring can be used as the insurance component in the fuze safety system. As the SMA is small and light, it can make the system simple. Because the SMA has none magnetism or noise and it can avoid influence from outside environmental force, the SMA is safe. So the SMA has the potential to use in many kinds of ammunition which have power supply and some fuzes which can produce enough heat.Firstly, basic specialties are researched. In theory, structure connection and springing method are studied. Then pulling and extending experiments of the SMA are made. And the data is contrasted and analyzed with results from the MATLAB. On the basic of knowing the design method and force capability of the SMA spring, the electric heat driving experiment is carried through and some curves axe got. Then, the things which are worth attention when the SMA is used are summed up. On the basic of putting forward the use of the SMA in the trajectory correction and the fuze insurance system, some models are given. Finally, a safe and aiming device of a fuze is made and analyzed.It is proved that the SMA has excellent Shape Memory Effect and Super Elastic Effect, which makes it meaningful to be used in the field of fuze.
