CSP production line, as enjoying the advantages of low investment, short period, high efficiency and low cost advantages, has been adopted and applied by more and more hot-rolled plates' manufacturers. However, due to the differences on metallurgical processes, materials' metallurgical solidification process characteristics, phase change and technology process of CSP technology with those of traditional thick slab production processes, it is usually resulted in higher yield strength and higher yield strength ratio in low-carbon hot-rolled plate by CSP technology, which has lead to difficulties in following cold-rolling process. Therefore, it is quite meaningful to find the differences between mechanical properties and microstructure of the low-carbon hot-rolled plates made by the two technologies, which has also made sense to the manufacture technique improvement of low-carbon hot-rolled plates.Based on the analysis of mechanical properties and microstructure in low-carbon hot-rolled plates produced by these two processes, the results are as follows: it has resulted in higher yield strength and higher yield strength ratio of low-carbon hot-rolled plates by CSP process as compared to the traditional process, as well as lower ductility than that manufactured by traditional process, which is consistent with the problems appeared during the practical production; the reasons for which, ferrite grain size is not the main reason, but the distributions of grain size, pearlite morphology, grain orientation and texture have played an part on the difference to a certain extent.By the methods of hardness measurements and microstructure observations on cold-rolled steel plates annealed at different temperatures, we finally make certain that the recrystallization temperature of the cold-rolled steel plate is 575℃with an under-pressure rate of 60%. And through different annealing processes, it has been also find out that annealing temperature does have but very little impact on the mechanical properties of the cold-rolled steel plate with an under-pressure rate of 60%.
