The Scleractinia Active Ingredient Montiporyne F Synthesis

Natural medicines are important resource of material for prevention and treatment of human disease. Nature products mainly root in animals and plants, the marine natural compounds are an important branch.Naturally occurring polyacetylenes are an intriguing class of natural products. Many of them show remarkable biological activities. Recently, there has been an increasing interest towards the synthetic studies of natural acetylenic compounds.Montiporyne F is diacetylenic ketone that was recently isolated from the stony coral Montipora sp., and reported to possess in vitro cytotoxic activity against several human solid tumor cells. The main content of this paper is the study to the total synthesis Montiporyne F, as well as some of the synthetic reaction.Montiporyne F was total synthesized via bisalkylation, dealkoxycarbonylation, reduction, ozonization, cyclodehydrations, and the Cadiot-Chodkiewicz coupling in the paper. The 1-bromonon-1-yne and Bestmann-Ohira reagent were prepared by a conventional procedure. The corresponding compounds have been characterized by Elemental analyses, Infrared (IR), 1HNMR and 13C NMR spectra and Mass Spectra (MS).
