Polymeric surfactants Poly[(BMA-co-AMPS)-g-(PHEMA-co-PBMA)]with sulfonic group were synthesized by catalytic chain transfer polymerization,the critical micelle concentration(CMC) of them are 0.18g/L,0.37g/L and 0.9 g/L.use them as surfactants and hexadecane as co-stabilizer,KPS as initiator then a series latexes were gained. Particle sizes were monitored by dynamic laser scattering,the result showed that the surfactants have good stabilization with Poly(HEMA-LA) and its polymers.At first particle sizes diminished rapidly,then go slowly after 30 min from 500nm to 150nm.The range of particle sizes in 150 nm-200 nm.AFM show particle size distribution was uniformity.The particles were spheres.The polymer brush was synthesized by the combination of ATRP and RAFT,the monomer 2-[(2-bromo-2-methylpropanoyl)oxy]ethyl methacrylate with double bond and bromine was synthesized firstly,used the monomer in RAFT polymerization.polymer was gained which can initiate ATRP polymerization.its molecularweight was 49202,PDI was 1.23.N,N-diethylacrylamide polymerized with polymer by ATRP polymerization. Molecular weight of polymer brush was 292965,PDI was 1.16.Particle size was measured by DLS after polymer was dissolved in water.It was a temperature sensitive polymer by the relation of particle size and temperature.The particle size was about 130nm when temperature below 35℃,the particle size was about 130nm when temperature above 35℃.PBMA(Mw/Mn=1.04) was synthesized under the control of DBTTC/AIBN by RAFT polymerzation.The amphiphilic block copolymers PBMA-b-P (NVP-MAn)-b-PBMA was synthesis under the control of PBMA.The amphiphilic block copolymers can be self-assembling in nonpolar solvents with diameter ranging from 450 to 700nm.The diameter diminished when PP-Diamino diphenylmethane was added.The particles were charcaterized by atomic force microscope,particle size distribution was uniformity.The particles were spheres.
