The fire disaster caused by coal spontaneous combustion has been one of coal mine significant disasters in our country. According to statistics, the number of state-owned key coal mines which have the risk of spontaneous combustion is 54.9 percent; the number of fire caused by coal spontaneous combustion is more than 90 percent of the total. Enormous harm and economic loss have been brought to the country and coal mine by fire caused by coal spontaneous combustion. In addition, not only has the coal resource been wasted by coal spontaneous combustion, but also humanity's living environment and ecological balance have been seriously destroyed.Proceed from the characteristic and rule of coal spontaneous combustion in large goaf, distribution of flow field, corresponding temperature distribution and their rules along with the change of time have been researched, the necessary theoretical foundation has given to provide essential rationale scientifically for fire prevention by the research. According to the condition in situ of Xuchang coal mine, influence factors action law of coal spontaneous combustion has been researched by means of Meta-analysis, quantitative assessment and classification of the risk of coal spontaneous combustion in large goaf has beeen researched. The research is of great realistic instructive significance in coal mine preventing and extinguishing fire technology. Dynamic monitoring system of mine pressure balancing has been establish, pressure variation of ventilation system is real-time monitored, design and optimization of pressure balancing regulation scheme has been researched thought judgment of pressure balancing situation of the measuring points concerned. C2H4,C2H6 have been being the main index of sign gas combined with field condition and of Xuchang coal mine, precision of the predication and forecast of coal spontaneous combustion has been improved so as to security monitoring and forecasting has been implemented fastly and reliably. Finally, region prevention and control of coal spontaneous combustion in large goaf in Xuchang coal mine has been guided thought establishment of safe, reliable ventilation system and using new seal, gel, aigelaoni rapid plugging bubble and other effective measures, and good results have been achieved.
