Rock burst is one of the most serious natural calamities in coal mines. Along with mining depth increase and mining scope daily expansion, the rock burst become serious, and must be taken to resolve safe mining problems on rock mass mechanics. Rock burst is occurs under the high stress condition, dynamical fountain of rock burst is accumulate a mass of elastic energy, so, the prerequisite of rock burst occurrence is that the elastic energy in coal and rock mass around coal mine roadway and work face has accumulated enough. To predict rock burst effectively, a direct energy criterion of rock burst must be brought forward. According to the calculation method of the elastic specific energy in elastic-plastic state, a theory and method, which can be used to calculate the distribution of the elastic specific energy of the load-bearing rock and coal mass in elastic-plastic state using the finite element method, is brought forward, and a method using finite element method to simulate the scale of rock burst energy are also brought forward. Analyze the influence to elastic energy by fault,coal seam partial change and roadway position change under the surrounding rock's condition of coal roadway. According to the different roadway's geometric parameters and surrounding rock's mechanical parameters, The results show that the mining depth effect not only numerical value but distribution of the elastic specific energy, and with the mining depth exceeding a certain limit, the max elastic specific energy accumulated in two sides roadway coal mass transferred from foursquare to deep coal face, which can accumulate more energy; the Elastic Modulus and compression strength have large effect on the distribution of elastic specific energy. The forecast of the rock burst can be made effectively as long as the distribution of elastic energy in surrounding rock is studied at length, and rock burst of the forecast and the preventing and controlling establishment above the more solid mechanics foundation.
