Some Methyl Substituted The Synthesis, Characterization And Properties Of Modified Cucurbituril | | Posted on:2009-12-28 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:D H Yu | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2191360248452737 | Subject:Physical chemistry | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Supramolecular chemistry as one of the hot realms in chemical research,it research object is a kind of complicated polymer which linked through noncovalent bonds among molecules,it's a kind of chemistry research supramolecular or supramolecular chemistry's properties and application,and formed it's own unique concepts and systems,with intercrossing and combination with other subjects.Cucurbit[n]urils as a new kinds of host compounds has become one of the important investigation of the supramolecular chemistry,due to the varying cavity and the hydrophobic cavity portal.However,because Q[n]s have poor solubility in commonly used solvent which hamper the research and development.In recent years,a large number of substituted Q[n]s have been reported.Institute of Applied Chemistry of Guizhou University has Synthesized a number of substituted Q[n]s and Q[n],and has done a lot of basal work.These offer a very good opportunity for further study of substituted Q[n]and its importance not only achieves a new substituted Q[n]with ready solubility,but also gives a new route to substituted Q[n].The most important facet is the way that adds specific group in certain location of Q[n]'s.Then we may bring cucurbiturils into practical application.Firstly,synthesis of a symmetrical methylsubstituted cucurbit[5,6]uril(MenQ[5]and MenQ[6]) has been achieved by using the glycoluril or dimmer of glycoluril and diether of dimethylsubstituted glycoluril.The tetramethylcucurbit[5]uril,Hexamethyl cucurbit[5]uril,ortho-tetramethyl cucurbit[6]uril and meta hexamethylcucurbit[6]uril have been determined by,1H NMR spectroscopy,ESMS and single-crystal X-ray diffractions. TMeQ[5],HMeQ[5],o-TMeQ[6]and m-HMeQ[6]showed surprising water solubility,which allowed us to investigate the properties in neutral water.And their solubility rule is consistent with the conclusion that the solubility inverse ratio with the symmetry of Q[n]s summed by Guoping Li.Then,we make the research use these Q[n]s with metal ions and viologen derivatives by single-crystal X-ray diffractions. The results include:1) Firstly,the results show that(DMeQ[5]-GdCl2,o-TMeQ[6]-CdCl3, m-HMeQ[6]-KCl and TMeQ[6]-CaCl2,SrCl2,La(NO3)3 all have the slectivity interacion, and almost these metal ions with aqua complexes exist between the portals of cucurbit[5, 6]urils forming molecule capsules by the charge-dipole,which make some change for the symmetry structure.The Symmetrical tetramethylcucurbit[6]uril with metal ions form supramolecular chain structures.Secondly,all of the structures of these host-guest inclusion complexes have some similar and also have some difference.For example,in the view of the ratio of these inclusion complexes,the ratio of DMBPY interact with o-TMeQ[6]and m-HMeQ[6]is 1:1, hut the ratio of SBH,HV2+and PV2+ interact with o-TMeQ[6],m-HMeQ[6]and 1.2. 4- HMeQ[6]is 1:2. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | supramolecular, tetramethylcucurbit[5]uril, Hexamethylcucurbit[5]uril, ortho-tetramethyl cucurbit[6]uril, meta-hexamethylcucurbit[6]uril, synthesis and isolation, ~1HNMR spectroscopy, MS spectroscopy, single crystal X-ray diffraction | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
