Now inorganic silicate nanoparticles minerals were wildly used in polymer modification and also got many useful results.E.g Japanese scholars got the Nylon-6/Montmorillonite nanoparticles composites by intercalation method;CAS Chemistry got the high strength,light weight and thermal stability,also it got the enhanced Polymer-Layered Silicate Nano-composites in 2D.So Nano-mineral silicate / polymer composite materials research is a hot tissue in material study. Guizhou palygorskite mineral is Al-magnesium hydroxyl silicate mine,and its molecular formula is:Mg5(Si4O10)2(OH)2(H2O).It is the natural nano-scale crystal rods silicate mineral in direction of the two-dimensional.It is the ideal mineral resources for preparing the polymer nanocomposites.How to prepare the palygorskite nanoparticles and how to be desperse in polymer system is also one of the key problems in prepration of polymer/nano-palygorskite composite materials.As the prophase of National Natural Science Foundation of China NO 50563001 and ISTC Major Project of Guizhou No 200500104,For purpose of getting high pure palygorskite mineral,and high disperse,small size nano particle.This paper discussed low palygorskite's purification and nano particle's preparation at large:At first,confirmed purification's technologic parameter by examinations,Second,prepared high pure palygorskite mineral nano particles by dry,wet,dry-wet and wet-dry ball milling,Base on test with JEM-2000FXⅡ,confirm dry-wet ball milling technics was the best,confirm load,milling time technologic parameter by contrast examinations.The forth,fifth chapter were palygorskite nano-paticle's apply example, expatiated on the subject of nano-palygorskite apply in PF resin and frictional material,Confirmed the infection of nano-palygorskite's deperse and dimension for frictional material,from the test result,ball milling improved deperse of nano-palygorskite in PF resin,advanced resin's TG,In abrasion examination,the coefficient of friction was heighten,the quotiety of abrasion was reduced,improved capability of frictional material in high temperature work area.
