The immobilization of white rot fungi and its use in wastewater treatment has been studied in the article. The best culture conditions for the growth of white rot fungi is comfirmed by studying on its culture conditions. Under the best culture conditions, while the amount of copper, manganese and Tween 80 are 1.0mmol /L,0.3 mmol /L,0.01mmol /L respectively,it will not only promote the growth of white rot fungi but also shorten the time in the degradation of phenol.Through the comparison of the eight kinds of materials, Vegetable sponge and sawdust are the best carriers compared with others in immobilize white rot fungi by absorption ;The effect of the size of the carrier on the removal rate of COD is relatively obvious compared with phenol; The best conditions of Immobilization of white rot fungi by the Combination of Absorption-embedding have been found: the concentration of Calcium Nitrite is 2%; diameter is 3 mm; cross-linking time is 4h; the amount of absorbed white rot fungi is 5g and activation pH chosen 5.Throught the comparison of different shape of white rot fungi, immobilized white rot fungi by absorption has higher efficiency than embedding white rot fungi or free cells. The immobilized white rot fungus by absorption was chosen to treat several wastewaters. The removal rate of COD and phenols in the coking wastewater were 88.89% and 72.38% in 3 days. The removal rate of COD in the aniline wastewater was 84.1% in 4 days. The removal rate of phenols in the Refinery Wastewater was 100% in 12 hours. The removal rate of COD and oil in the Refinery Wastewater were 97.52%and 96.86% in 2.5 days The removal rate of COD in the river wastewater was 85.04% in 2.5 days and the removal rate of Na,Ca,Pb are 77.8%,72.1%,95.8% respectively. The removal rate of Cu is not obvious.
