The study on capability of degradation of embedment of Phanerochaete chrysosporium to nitrobenzene was carried out. A suitable way of cultivating Phanerochaete chrysosporium was ascertained. In this way, Phanerochaete chrysosporium which grew in the culture fluid and was in an incubator of 37℃, became ripe in 2 or 3 days. Among four kinds of different technologies of embedment, compound calcium alginate embedment was chosen. The basic parameters of degradation to nitrobenzene using embedment of Phanerochaete chrysosporium were ascertained, including temperature, pH value, concentration of DO and the optimal quantity of Phanerochaete chrysosporium used in embedment. On the basis of these parameters, contrast between biomembrane reactor and embedment, tolerance of embedment of Phanerochaete chrysosporium to nitrobenzene and continuous operation were studied. The results showed that the most optimal operation parameters were: 24℃, D0=5mg/L, pH=4.5, proportion between colloid and fungus 1:13, and under the most optimal operation parameters, inflow concentration of 120mg/L nitrobenzene, removal rate could reach 96% after 48 hours, tolerance of domesticated Phanerochaete chrysosporium to nitrobenzene was around 200mg/L, and period of continuous operation could reach around 40 days.
