In this paper, base on a original formula of cutting emulsified oil, a research on improving its individual and comprehensive application performances was carried out on In addition, the plant pilot was carried out on two formulas of cutting emulsified oil.The individual application performance of the emulsified oil was improved by added different type and dosage of additives into the basic formula. A orthogonal experiments was made to search a formula of wire-cutting emulsified oil, which has a better comprehensive application performance based on results above. A mechanical oil was selected and the plant pilotwas carried out on two original formula of wire-cutting emulsified oil. The whole research processes were completed according to following steps. The wire-cutting emulsified oil was prepared in the laboratory, the physicochemical properties of its emulsifing liquild, the emulsifing liquid was applied on machine to cut some samples, and the relationship between component of formula and application performances were researched.For the washing rate, when the dosage of additive B was 0.8g/100g, the washing rate of the emulsifing liquid was A and better than that of the emulsifing liquid of original formula. For the anti-rust-level, when the dosage of additive D was 1.2g/100g, and the antirust-level of the emulsifing liquid was 0 grade and 2 grade better than that of the emulsifing liquid of original formula. For the life time of use ,when the dosage of additive E was 0.7g/100g, the life time of the emulsifing liquid reached 60h and 12h more than that of the emulsifing liquid of original formula; the speed of cutting was 54.61mm2·min-1;the anti-rust-level was 0 class. For reforming the surface, when the dosage of sodium phosphate was 0.7g/100g , the surface finish of workpiece was A grade, and the washing rate was A better than that of the emulsifing liquid of original formula. The application performance of emulsified oil which used 15# mechanical oil as its basic oil was the best. The plant pilot on two original formulas used 15# mechnical oil for its basic oil was carried out.Several new formulas of wire-cutting emulfied oil which has fine individual application were obtained. The study provided a good basis for preparing wire-cutting emulsified oil with better comprehensive application performance.
