The thesis consists of the follow four sections:Setion 1: The development of gas chromatography is reviewed briefly. The structure of gas chomatography and the various staionary phase is described. The traditionnal preparative technique of gas caplillary column is introduced and the novel views are raised, basing on the plate theory of dynamics and the theory of thermodynamics.Setion 2: The main content of the setion is about the sol-gel chemaical process and chemaical technology of the sol-gel capllary column. Then , the application of the sol-gel in materical, photics, chromatography, column, solid phase microextraction is illustrated. The typical method of preparing sol-gel capllary column is emphasized. The main influence factors are investigated. Setion 3: The sepcial preparation method of the sol-gel capillary column for GC are introduced with the stationary phases: diethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol-6000,cyanopropyl- terminated poly-dimethyl-siloxane.On these columns of experimentation the sepation power, the thermal stability, the column efficiency, the polarity of the stationary are studied.,which show excellent effect .Owing to the sol-gel columns made using novel approach, the formation of chemical bonds between the coating layer and the inner wall of capilly is steady.so the sol-gel column can be used greatly in analytical chemistry realm.Setion 4: A sol-gel method was used to prepare OH-terminated poly-dimethyl-siloxane (PDMS) extraction fibers for solid phase microextraction (SPME). These fibers could be used at temperature as high as 300℃and above. These fibers had very good extraction for various compounds.
