So, the blowhole defective belongs to a technology difficult in the session of casting, and has a lot of values for research.This paper researches on 4100QB Cylinder-block of the KW moulding line, particularly introduces the forming mechanism of blowholes on 4100QB Cylinder-block. This paper also analyzed the producing reason of blowholes from aspects of molding sand processing, making sand core, smelting and grinding tool, and establishes related improving measure, which makes the blowhole defective rate eliminate from 1.5% to 0.5%, gets satisfactory economic effect.
