The application range of Super fine powder fire extinguishing agent(SFPFEA) is wide forits high efficiency. Whereas its discharge effect, fluidity, dispersing stability and depositare not in good performance because the super fine particles are tend to agglomerate andabsorb moisture.In this paper, the ammonium dihydrogen phosphate particles (D50=5μm approximately) asan example of SFPFEA, were treated by dry method, to improve the hydrophobic andanti-agglomerate properties. And the moisture absorption, water repellence,oil repellence,bulk density were introduced to characterize the surface properties. Further more, theparticle sizer,DTA, SEM, EDX and FTIR analysis methods were used to study the particletructures and appearance. Through the analysis, the effects of surfactant quality andtechnical conditions on hydrophobic,anti-reflash, hydrophobic & anti-reflash surfacetreatment were systermatically studied.The results show that the moisture absorption rate is 2.49%, bulk density is0.60g/cm3,water repellence is good, the fluidity is 0.23, the adhesive force is 31.64, theactivation index is 0.56, the dispersing stability is good after the SFPFEA is treated underthe condition that, the silicone oil is used by 3.5wt%based on the amount on theSFPFEA,which is diluted by acetone whose volume is 2~3 times to the silicone oil, thetreating tempreature is 65℃~70℃;the SFPFEA can float on the oil surface for more than18min after being treated under the condition that HG-686 is used by 1.0wt%based on theamount of the SFPFEA, the treating time is lh, and treating temperature is 100℃;themoisture absorption rate is 1.82%, the fluidity is 0.33 and the adhesive force is 40.29, afterthe SFPFEA is treated with octadecylamine(0.25wt%) and silicone oil(2.5wt%); themoisture absorption rate is 2.77%, the time it could float on the oil surface is 3′32", theperformance of water repellence and oil repellence is good, after the SFPFEA is treatedwith octadecylamine (0.25wt%) and HG-686(0.8wt%); the moisture absorption rate is1.42%, the activation index reaches 0.72, the performance of water repellence and oilrepellence is good after the SFPFEA is treated with silicone oil(2.5wt%) andHG-686(0.8wt%). |
