| Aqueous coatings have lots of advantages, such as little poison,little pollution. Itcoincides with the developing trend of the coating at present, water dispersible acryliccoating modified by epoxy resins has the advantage of both epoxy and acrylic resins, suchas excellent gloss, high adhesive and good chemical resistant.This thesis is to prepare a water dispersible acrylic coating modified by epoxy resins.By abundant conditional experiments, main factors influence coatings properties wereresearched, such as epoxy modified acrylic process ratio, the amount of introducedmultifunctional acrylate monomers, the crosslink reaction of amino resins and epoxyacrylic resins, the dripping process of monomer mixture of acrylates, the selection ofanti-rusting pigments and various additives and so on.Meanwhile, the coating rheological properties and application processes wereresearched, an optimal process was determined which could meet with the requirement ofpractical application. That is firstly the opening up of epoxy ring, then esterify reactingwith acrylic monomer, and introducing the epoxy resin to acrylic polymers main chain byunsaturated double bond of acrylic. Because of the controlling step dripping ofmultifunctional monomers of acrylic monomers, it makes epoxy acrylic resin moreinclined to form water dispersible resin with dense core structure, matched with suitableamino resins to prepare storage stable thermosetting waterborne epoxy acrylic coatings.The coatings can be used in the field of industrial coatings such as various vehiclesand their parts, apparatus, applicants, hardware, compressors, diesel engines, and can beused as primers, finishes and "primer-finish in one" coatings for the protection anddecoration of substrates. The application process can be spraying, dipping, rolling and soon. The coating films have excellent adhesive, anti-rusting, and decorative properties. |
