Today's terrace should not only have such properties as smooth, beautiful, richcolors, but also with features as follows: clean and dust-free, mechanical shockresistance and erosion resistance, oil resistance, corrosion-resistance, easy cleaningand maintaining etc. However, mostly epoxy terrace on the domestic market is madeof 44/51 epoxy resin by adding toxic and easy volatile diluents, such as benzene,toluene, xylene, and acetone, which will cause the internal defects and reducematerial's properties badly. This study carried out to produce non-solvent epoxy resinterrace materials.This paper reports a study of developing of excellent epoxy resin terracematerials including bottom material, middle-level material, and superficial layermaterial. Appropriate component parts and its optimal mixture ratio are designed byorthogonal experiments. The mechanical and application properties of products, suchas compression strength, bonding strength, brushability were studied. Basal planetreatment, execution of works and quality control were taken into account, and someinstruments were designed.The results show: non-solvent epoxy resin synthesized with epoxy chloropropaneand glycerol, has a lower viscosity and the good operational performance. Theviscosities of E44 epoxy resin, which has the good mechanics performance andchemistry corrosion-resistance, was reduced through improving synthesis craft andthe working condition, and its applicable construction life lengthened. Themodification of solidified agent through liquid monoepoxy compounds combiningwith solid high molecular weight aromatic amine solidified agent to add the flexibleof strand of chain, which lowered the vapor pressure and outflow of thrill gas, meetsthe demand of environmental protection.The optimal mixture ratio of bottom material is modified epoxy resin: modifiedsolidified agent: additive=1.0:0.5:0.15 or modified epoxy resin: X-89: additive=1.0:0.25:0.1, and this material has a bonding strength over 3.68MPa.The optimal mixture ratio of thin middle-level material is modified epoxy resin:modified solidified agent: quartz powder: talc powder=1.0:0.5:1.75:0.05 and thismaterial has compression strength of 63.4MPa and a bonding strength over 4.3MPa.The optimal mixture ratio of thick middle-level material is modified E44: diluents:toughening agent: modified solidified agent=1.0:0.1:0.15:0.55, packing material: E44=6.0:1.0, coarse packing material: fine packing material=2.8:1.0, and thismaterial has compression strength of 125MPa and a bonding strength over 5.6MPa,toxicity and corrosion resistance meet the demand of national standard.The optimal mixture ratio of superficial layer material is low-viscosity epoxyresin: Gm4 solidified agent: dispersing agent: antifoaming agent=1.0: 0.5:0.025:0.001 and this material has compression strength of 88.5MPa and a bonding strengthover 5.41MPa.Engineering practice shows: epoxy resin terrace material that we developed hasan excellent application property and practice effect, with fine mechanical shockresistance and erosion resistance, oil resistance, corrosion-resistance, easy cleaningand maintaining etc, which has a fine market outlook.
