This article discuss the relevant conception and technology of stamping process, the application of CAD/CAE/CAM technology in design and manufacture of punch die, outline the development direction of punch techniques and die manufacture. Combining the application of CIMS technology in Yunnei Power Corporation, this paper study the die & mould CAD/CAM integrated system, ensure consistency of the data among production design, technique analysis, machining simulation and production manufacturing process. It is realized the date transmission in double direction and data share in network system. The CAD/CAM technology is integrated under the network system. It is met the demand of divide and coordination between the work process that cannot be realized in the traditional mixed system. The product of sheet matal and the flat pattern is designed in the UG/Sheet Metal Design technology. The CAD system is applied in the design of technique and structure in punch die. The method of feature model and parameter design in UG software is used in part design. In assembly model and relevant part design, the method of Top To Down design and UG/WAVE technology are adopted. In mould CAM technology, it emphasizes the numerical control machining technology that comprises numerical control machine tool, numerical control technique and programming of numerical control. By using mould CAM technology in numerical control programming and mould technique design, the application of numerical control equipment is improved. It also discussed the advanced manufacture method such as Wire Electrical Discharge technology and Electrical Discharge Manufacturing technology. By applying numerical control programming technology of UG software in the manufacturing process of die mould, and adopting the Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing technology, the integration of CAD/CAM design and manufacturing is realized. Thereof the efficiency of die mould design and manufacturing is boosted and the manufacturing cycle of die mould is shortened.
