PMIG welding is a high-quality welding method. It is developed widely for its good direction transition, less splashed material and nice figure .And PMIG welding power supply is developed quickly with the extending of PMIG welding. At present, with the application of the new material, advanced requirement is put forward to the welding equipment for meeting higher welding quality. It is important to further improve PMIG welding control performance and corresponding process results by full digital control design in welding machine research.The application, history, actuality and foreground of digitized technology in welding field are firstly introduced in the introduction part of this paper. The important specialties of GMAW-P(pulsed MIG welding)and its study evolution, as well as the far-reaching affects of digitized technology combined with inverter technique on the development of welding machine are follow set forth. Also, some reasons are given why we study this task. The control circuit is introduced by taking "DSP+MCU" as the core. The single chip microcomputer is the Up-Equipment, charging in program control and computer interface for users; DSP is the Down-Equipment, charging in feedback operation of the welding parameter. The versatile control functions of the single chip microcomputer and the high operation ability of DSP are fully utilized. And the welding control system is introduced from the hardware and software.Because of hard working circumstances of high current and high magnetic field , the microcomputer system on the basis of DSP and MCU worked abnormally. Reliability and noise resistance designs are also covered. Various noises probably appear in the whole system, as well as their causation, are analyzed systematically. Then, in order to reduce their bad infections, some hardware and software measures are adopted while designing schematic chart, PCB board, and compiling code. In addition, some problems in design of inverter power source are also probed into.
