4-Trifluoroethoxy phenol is an important medicinal intermediate. It is prepared by nucleophilic substitution reacting 4-bromophenol with sodium 2, 2, 2-trifluoroethylate in the presence of catalyst. Through the steps such as acidify, filteration, extraction , distillation and vacuum distillation, the product is seperated from compounds. The product can be determined by the ways of analysis such as NMR, GC-MS, IR, EA and HPLC. The content of the product is above 97.0% by the HPLC and the yield is 85.93%. Physical properties such as melting point, boiling point, solubility and moisture are determined .Through the research of reaction process, influencing factors and orthogonal experiment, the best process can be obtained as follows: the DMAC is the solvent , the catalyst is cupric iodide, the reaction temperature is 120℃, n(BrArOH):n(CF3CH2ONa):n(CuI)=l: 2: 6, the reaction time is 10h. According to the optimum technological condition, test experiments can be done and the average yield is about 90%. The recovery of catalyst and solvent are settled through experiment; the experiment of technical amplification is designed for industrial production.
