The host BABO(BaAl2B2O7), CBOC(Ca2B5O9Cl), MAO(MgAl2O4), ZBO were activated by Eu3+,Tb3+, Ce3+ et al rare earth ions. A serious of luminescent materials was prepared with Flash Combustion Method, Hydrothermal Method of Soft Chemistry and High Temperature Solid Method. Luminescent materials of CBOC: Eu, BaAl2B2O7: Eu3+, MAO: Ce3+/Tb3+, ZBO: Eu3+/Tb3+ were gained. Effect of excitation conditions, rare earth ions concentration of activated and sensitized reagent, flux, temperature on spectral properties and microcosmic structure were studied; The energy transfer mechanism of Eu3+â†'Eu3+, Tb3+â†'Eu3+, Ce3+â†'Eu3+ in BABO, CBOC, MAO were studied; Microcosmic photographs were observed with SEM; Functional action of rare earth oxide and luminescent powder in the glass fibers were also discussed. Luminescent glass fibers were prepared by Tb4O7, Ca3B7O13Cl: Eu3+, Zn4B6O13: Ce3+/Tb3+, MgAl2O4: Ce3+/Tb3+, SrAl2O4: Eu3+/Dy3+, SrAl2O4: Dy3+ added to host B2O3-SiO2-ZnO-SrO-CdO.
