The support in soft rock excavation is one of great problems that affect secure production of mine. In recent years, with the increase of extract depth and strength in Tu Cheng mine, the main uphill and segment rock cross-cut has affected by exploiting, most of section excavations are located in the soft rock, involving lots of excavation maintenance and repair projects every year, and most of which are for the excavations in the soft rock.There are lots of theories about the excavations in the soft rock, but at present, the overall, systematic and appropriate support theories of soft rock excavations haven't presented. The deformed destruction of soft rock is led by many reasons, such as the low intensity itself, the exploiting press, underground water, support and the quality of support etc.According to the reasons of excavations destruction, the integrated measures should be adopted in the process of excavation designation, for example, the excavations can be located in the stable rock, avoiding locating the excavations in the press area, enhancing the disposing of mine water and the quality of support engineering etc. In addition, the rationality and parameter of support choosing is the most important to improve the deficiency of the soft rock.The conventional soft rock support ways of Tu Cheng are shelf shed, anchor arm, anchor sheet, anchor sheet spraying, anchor sheet spraying combining with shelf shed etc, the effects of these ways are different in different excavations, and the general support effect isn't good enough, and the repairing rate is high. In recent years, a combination of anchor sheet, pouring pulp and shelf shed has been used according to tests, the soft rock support problems of Tu Cheng mine have been solved.In this paper, the movement of surrounding rock with different support way in soft rock of Tu Cheng mine is observed, and the deformed reasons of soft rock are analyzed; The support effects are compared with that of present support ways. U-type steel shed support can control breaking surrounding rock, prevent roof leakage, caving and wall caving, but this support is passive support, and contact with round irregularly, pressed unbalance, leading to the deformed of surrounding rock accelerating, support period is short and the cost is high; The anchor arms of anchor sheet spraying and anchor wire interact with surrounding rock and form jointed arches support, they can approach the intensity of original rock and have better yield performance, support excavation in all direction, the anchor wires in the deep surrounding rock form deep jointed arches support, but the support is not effective in the situation of exploiting influence; For anchor pouring support, the pulp can cap the crack of surrounding rock, improve its integrity, intensity and itself...
