Poly(phenylene sulfide) (PPS) and nylon1010 (PA1010) are both engineering plastics with excellent mechanical properties. But each of them has some weakness which confines their application fields. In this paper, a series of PPS/PA1010 alloy were prepared to increase the general properties. And the comprehensive characterization of CPPS/PA1010/EMG alloy was studied. A lot of valuable information were obtained that can be used for development of PPS and PA1010 composites. The main conclusions are as follows:1. PPS/PA1010/PP-g-AA and PPS/PA1010/PP-g-(GMA-co-St) alloy were prepared using PP-g-AA and PP-g-(GMA-co-St) as a compatibiiizer respectively. The results of mechanical properties study indicate that the impact strength of two alloy enhances with the increase of compatibiiizer content. When PPS/PA1010/PP-g-AA is 60/40/7, the notched Izod impact strength of alloy is 1.81 times as that of alloy without compatibiiizer and 1.39 times as that of pure PPS. PP-g-(GMA-co-St) has the same current as PP-g-AA, but the result of it is not as good as that of PP-g-AA. Using the diphenylmethane diisocyanate(MDI) chemically treated PPS blended with PAIOIO and EMG which is a ternary copolymer of high molecular weight polyethylene, maleic anhydride and glycidyl methacrylate, prepared a series of CPPS/PA1010/EMG alloy. The results indicate that the general mechanical properties of alloy are better when PPS/MDI is 100/2. The notched Izod impact strength of alloy enhances obviously with the increase of EMG content in the condition of keeping other mechanical properties and the ductile-brittle transition was also observed. When EMG is 9phr, the impact of alloy is 5.5 times and the length at breakage is 18.3 times as that of pure PPS.2. The melting and crystallization behavior and mutual effect of PPS/PA1010/ PP-g-AA alloy which have different proportions were investigated using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and thermo gravity analysis (TG). The results show that the T_c of PPS increases obviously as the content of PA1010 increases and thecrystallization rate of PPS is faster than that of pure PPS. The T_c of PA1010 also...
