| In the Iron and Steel industry, roll guide equipment is an important component in rolling product line. But the average service life of guide equipment is only several hours because of working at high temperature and severe cooling condition. And the precision rolling mill's entrance guide equipment was replaced frequently in the producing, so the research of the precision rolling mill's entrance guide equipment has the important value of the theory and practice.Firstly, the cooling parameters of the precision rolling mill's entrance guide equipment's cooling system were calculated in the paper. Based on the analysis of the guide roller's heat conduction, the convective heat model of the guide roller was established and the convective heat-transfer coefficient that is necessary in the design of the cooling system was calculated. By using the calculation formula of the water velocity and water flux, the water velocity and water flux of the cooling system were calculated. The ejection orifice's diameter was designed according to the compulsory cooling mode.Secondly, under the new cooling system the heat transfer properties of the guide roller were analyzed. The guide roller's two-dimension transient thermal field model was established by simplifying the three-dimension model reasonably. And the transient thermal field of the roller was imitated accurately by using the ANSYS software. The imitation result proved the new cooling system could make good cooling effect.Finally, the locale experiment of new equipment was done, and the result shows that the cooling effect of the new cooling system is excellent, the new equipment's service life was prolonged by a wide margin, and the new equipment also eased the labor intensity, lifted the production efficiency and cut down the manufacturing cost. So the study will bring great economic and sociality achievement. |
