This thesis introduces the structure, uses and developmental trend of 4A zeolite, which substitutes for phosphoric cleaning additives. It explored the hydrothermal synthetic mechanism of 4A zeolite, by means of XRD and SEM in the hydration process. It also presentes the details of the experiment, in which red mud solution in the sintering process is used as the major material supplying aluminum to synthesize 4A zeolite. All the controlling conditions, including slurrying, crystallization and maturing, which work on the specifications of 4A zeolite, are tested during the synthesis. As showed in the experiment, The controlling conditions of the hydrothermal synthesis of the red mud solution by purified and the soluble glass is, the temperature of slurrying should be controlled between 50and 55℃, the temperature of crystallization should be controlled between 70 and 80℃, the temperature of maturing should be controlled at about 95 ℃. Thus, it can produce 4A zeolite which is eligible. The index number of Ca2+≥295mg/g, white> 95%, which comes to the first class of the merchandise.The high concentration synthesis, the three-components cocurrent flow slurrying and some new technology increase the productivity of the single slot. The solid content of the original art is 90100kg/m3. After the art is improved, the solid content is increased to 120140kg/m3,which is increased about 30%.It can produce 4A zeolite of excellent performance, used as cleaning additive in the detergent industry, by controlling the hydrothermal synthesis of purified red mud solution and sodium silicate. A12O3 and Na2O as the available components in the red mud solution could be recovered, but no longer recycled into the alumina process, thereby optimized the sintering process of alumina production. This text put forward many practical and applicable measures on controlling the production, including optimizing the hydrothermal synthesis, making use of cocurrent flow slurrying and recycling feeding crystallized mother liquid, to ensure the product specification, increase the batch productivity, low the cost and economize the water resource. Approved by the industrialized test, the technologysupposed is reasonable and practical, which provided technical support to the enterprise's persistent development.
