As water body eutrophication aggravate increasingly, the removes with total nitrogen and total phosphorus in water quality and the water quality monitor become an important topic of environmental protection now. The traditional determination method of total nitrogen and total phosphorus in water sample is to separate items processing and determine respectively.But in these methods, sometimes the sample, the reagent and the energy consume too much; Or it lasts for the long time; Or digest process exist insecurity factors; when we deal with the special water sample, some methods also possibly digest unthorough-goingly(inexhaustively); Moreover, some oxidants if decompose unthorough-goingly, will still affect the absorbance behind (for example, determines total nitrogen with UV-spectrophotometric method, with the influence of oxidant potassium persulfate, blank value is frequently higher);Some method's repetition is bad; The water sample's digest operation by Some method is tedious. The work to separate items digestion with large quantity of water samples will be a great burden, and it is difficult for one person to undertake these two items simultaneously .At present, many correlation researches about improvement of determination methods of total nitrogen and total phosphorus in variety of water have been done in native and foreign countries. But most of them only aim at the nitrogen or the phosphorus. But the correlation researches regarding total nitrogen and total phosphorus determination continuously are also few. It only has some improvement of digest methods or determination methods, the purpose of fast and continuous determination hasn't reached, and the practical application significance is not great.This article studied series of methods for determining total nitrogen and total phosphorus fast and continuous and digest federatively in many ways, include microwave-hydrogen peroxide-digestion andmicrowave-alkaline potassium persulfate-digestion and water bath-hydrogen peroxide-digestion and water bath-alkaline potassium persulfate-digestion and high pressure-alkaline potassium persulfate-digestion ,and so on. Series of experiment has been studied, for example, the recovery test, study of sodium hydroxide's dosage in high pressure-alkaline potassium persulfate-digestion , effect of digest result of the microwave power, effect of the result of the time with microwave digest, effect of amount of hydrogen peroxide on absorbance of total phosphorus determination, effect of dosage on Sulfuric acid (1 + 1) of hydrogen peroxide-digestion, and so on. We seek for one new technical method, which can rapidly and effectively decompose the water sample, reduces the time of digest, and can greatly reduce the loss and the tarnishes in digest process entirely with the sample, achieves a better accuracy and precision. While compared with traditional digestion method, the precision and accuracy is satisfactory and the applicable scope has been enlarged. It has the superiority in the practical application. One kind suits the accurate simple new method system which can fast and continuous to determine total nitrogen and total phosphorus in every kind of water body had studied. The methods of monitor analysis on water and waste water have beenimproved. which obtain the certain social benefit.
