Fully summarizing the predecessors work, with the Unipol gas phase polyethylene production technology as the background, the platform to design new polyethylene products by re-developing Polymer plus combining with the ethylene polymerization reaction mechanism and dynamics. After the practice examination, the software and the production actual tallied well, which could instruct the development of new grade products. The work done in this paper is as follows:1. On the basis of the Polymer Plus software, the static model for Unipol gas phase polyethylene production process was first established, including the single active site reaction kinetics model and the multi-active sites reaction kinetics model. The model established consists of five grades LLDPE products from the gas phase fluidized bed technology, including the reactor, gas cycle/reactor cooling and the downstream discharges units.2. In the foundation of the static model, corresponding dynamic information was introduced to build the production dynamic document. Subsequently, with the parameter and the controller set up, the dynamic model for Unipol gas phase polyethylene production process was established.3. The model established in this paper has been validated and applied in the actual production. The results indicated the model accorded well with the plant, and can be used to instruct the new product design. In the actual application process, it was first used in the sensitivity analysis and laid the foundation.for the production of multi-grades products and development of new grades. Finally on the platform designed, the simulation of the product process was carried out, and new grades DNDC-7150B and QLLF05's was developed. The results showed the grade changeover time was shortened, consumption per unit and the transition material also obviously reduced.
