Rolling Billet Production Process And Equipment Selection

Adopting Arc Furnace—Ladle Furnace Refining—Arc Continuous Casting to produce Continuous Rolling Billets with the characteristics of continuance, compactness, low cost and high quality, in which Casting Process is the key technology. This work is how to optimize the whole process flow according to the size of products to be produced, the advanced technology and advanced equipments. The results show that:1. By adopting Super-high power supply technology, bottom tapping technology of eccentricity furnace, carbon oxygen lance technology, furnace shell and furnace roof with whole water cooling technology, high voltage low current long arc operation technology, scum selection technology, automatic charging system, de-dusting technology etc, Electric Arc Furnace can realize high-efficiency, low-cost, high quality and clean production.2. Ladle Furnace Refining adopts LF Refining furnace and VD Vacuum Refining furnace, which provides high quality and high purity molten steel for continuous casting and make a cushion for steel making and casting. The steel grades which suit this technology are various high quality carbon steel, alloy steel and line pipe steel.3. The basic condition to realize continuous taping is to have a set of high efficiency, stable steel making system which production capacity matches with continuous casting and to have a turret with full function.4. The type of caster is arc continuous casting. New technology adopted are: non-oxidize taping technology, tundish flow field optimize technology, mould electromagnetism stirring technology, mould precise vibration technology, mould liquid level automatic control technology, optimize technology of secondary coolingsection, lubrication slag technology of mould. All above mentioned technologies assure high quality of casting billets.
