ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) is an n-type semiconductor with heavy-doped and high-degenerated, And having a series of optical , chemical and electrical performance. A chemical conprecipitation method using In and Tin chloride as initialization prepared ITO powder in size of nanometer. The influences of pH value , different dispersant and calcining heat on the grain size of powder ,appearance ,structure and agglomeration were studied in this paper. The performance of ITO powder was tested by TG-DTA, XRD, SEM and TEM. It shows that the characteristics of powder is optimally under the conditions of preparing in pH=9, adding ③ dispersant, calcining heat at 750℃ holding 2 hours.ITO slurry was further more prepared from powder. And the influences of different dispersion medium, method of dispersion and pH value were discussed on the slurry stability. The stability of slurry was showed by TEM and Zeta potential method ,and the fractal theory that was also used to characterize the sediment morphology was observed with scanning electron microscopy. The fractal dimension values of sediments were obtained by the self-similarity exhibiting by the sediment surfaces, based which, the relationship between the fractal dimension of sediment surface and suspension was analyzed to judge the disperse state of the slurry. By optimized from the processing parameter, adding ②dispersant, shearing 12 hours at 6000rpm, adjusting pH =3, the slurry with good dispersability and stability was obtained, and the same conclusion was obtained by Zeta potential and fractal value. At last, based on the fore-experiment, general experiment was processing. And champion performance nanometer ITO was obtained. Using this method contribute to coating directly, meeting the demand of different production, simplifying the working process and having an extensive foreground.
