The preparation techniques and conditions of lithium carbonate from saline-bittern contenting lithium were mainly studied in this thesis. The TBP was chosen as extraction agent, suffocated kerosene(200#) as dilution agent and FeCl3 as co-extraction agent respectively. Then the experiments on the separation of lithium and magnesium from bitterns contenting lithium were carried out, during the experiment NaOH was chosen as addition to further remove magnesium from the extraction liquid and Na2CO3 was chosen as deposition agent to prepare Li2CO3 product. The optimum conditions of extraction, washing, stripping, further removal of magnesium and the deposition of lithium processes were achieved during the experiments. The results showed that the priority of each factor in the solvent extraction process in turn were phase ratio 1.5; Fe/Li 1.3; TBP content was (concentration) 60%. The 0/A of washing process were chosen as 30, and stripping process 25; The optimum condition of further removal of magnesium were chosen as follows: the concentration of NaOH was 10mol/L, the velocity of adding row was 0.5ml/min and the ending PH=12; the priority of each factor in the deposition lithium process were: the theoretical amounts of Na2CO3 was 110% and better in solid, the velocity of adding row was 0.5g/min, the reaction time was 60 minutes, times of washing were 2, time of stale-converting was 12 hours. The concentration of lithium, iron and magnesium during the techniques process were detected by atomic absorption spectrophotometer and EDTA titration respectively. SEM and XRD were also used to characterize the Li2CO3 products, the spectrum showed that: the diffraction apex was acuity, and no impurity was found, the afterbirth of the crystal was integrity and the structure was in order, the size of Li2CO3 was uniformity. The chemical components of Li2CO3 were characterized by ICP-AES, the pure component of Li2CO3 was 99.44% and it suited the national industry standard GB11075-89 which was first-rate standard of Li2CO3.Above all, we know that notable characteristics were showed during the preparation process of lithium carbonate using lithium extracted from saline-bittern contenting lithium: the separation effect of lithium and magnesium was good, the purity of the product was high and the impurity was small. It was very significant for the synthesis develops and utilize of saline-bittern contenting lithium and othersolvent contenting lithium.
