In recent years, the shipping industry is developing rapidly in a way that the land-and-water coordinated transport as well as large and small and fast-speeding vessels develops side by side. The developed shipping industry promotes the economic development of the water area, but inevitably bringing about serious pollution and damage along the Yangtze River. It is estimated that the cabin bottom water of the vessels sailing in the Yangtze River results in approximated 60,000 tons of oil pollutant annually. One accident will cause the largest amount of thousands tons of discharged oil. Hundreds of thousand shipping inhabitants along the Yangtze River discharge the amount of wasted water the same as an ordinary city and produce an annually 120,000 tons of garbage. The pollution resulting from the vessels on the Yangtze River has been the focus of the people along the Yangtze River. The water bears the development of the aquaculture and economy along the river, bears the drinking water for the billions of residents along the river and bears the people's health. We must take immediate actions to protect the Yangtze River. With a view to this, the author makes an overall analysis of the vessel pollution along the Yangtze River and studies the factors affecting the water quality in the Yangtze River. In the mean time, the author draws the formula for the water pollution resulting from the vessels on the Yangtze River, which is a solid evidence for the prevention of the vessel pollution along the Yangtze River. The framework of this thesis is as follows:In Chapter One, the introduction, based on the existing vessel pollution along the Yangtze River, the author introduces the issue of the thesis for discussion and puts forward the ideas and approaches for the issue being discussed. In Chapter Two, the case study of the vessel pollution along the Yangtze River. The author gives a brief introduction about the transportation along the Yangtze River, including the course, vessels, and harbors. In case of accidents of vessel pollutions, the author categorizes the sailing routes, the countries and the provinces the troubling vessels belong to, the geographical locations, the causes, the grades and categories of the accidents, then makes statistics, finally summarizes the feature of the vessel pollutions along the Yangtze River. In Chapter Three, the multiple statistical analysis of the water quality of the Yangtze River under the influence of the shipment (relevant analysis and regression analysis). First, the author introduces the water quality of the Yangtze River over the past years; then analyzes such factors that affect the water quality of the Yangtze River; finally picks out the samples based on the analysis of the data, and makes the relevant analysis of these samples with the corresponding water samples. The qualified samples are made regression analysis, which creates a model formula. Apart from the statistical analysis of the Yangtze River, the author analyses the cross section of the Huangpu River, a tributary of the Yangtze River, and the cross section of the Yangtze River in the city of Chongqin, and points out the threat an unexpected incident poses to the water quality of the Yangtze River by means of case by case studies. In Chapter Four, the author points out some deficiencies in the prevention of the vessel pollutions on the Yangtze River, and then draws the solutions to such pollutions based on the conclusion in Chapter Three. In the last conclusion part. The author summarizes the academic achievements in this thesis and puts forward several aspects that the thesis can make further analysis.
