| The temperature has an important effect on casing which has been widely known in oilfields. Through establishing precise pressure-temperature coupling prediction model, drawing temperature distribution curve in HT gas well and based on predecessor's study, this paper can provide much more precise data about well casing temperature. Temperature's effect on casing joint sealing and casing additional loads is discussed in this paper. A sort of new working condition namely free pipe, a kind of casing that there is no cementing inside and outside annular, has been mentioned in casing additional load analyses .Through analyzing the influence of temperature on free pipe, this paper can provide foundation for the design of casing program with free pipe segment under HT conditions.The main content of this research paper: temperature distribution computation around well casing; influence of temperature on casing joint sealing; calculation of casing thermal stress; calculation of free pipe segment additional loads; prevention of free pipe additional loads.
