There are many processes of production which need using heat energy in wood and wood-based panel industry. The utilization and translation of heat energy has to carry through by thermal medium. The thermal state and its change of thermal medium have important affection to transformation and transfer of heat energy, and they are related to the output and quality of production closely. The status parameter of thermal medium is important parameter in process of production.The technicians often analyze and calculate some thermal process that is in common use of wood industry for knowing the using efficiency of production process and improving production process. In the process of calculation, they must look up from charts and tables to confirm the status parameters of thermal medium and its change. It is not convenient, and will bring bigger error.In order to increase efficiency, save time and energy, and make engineers broken away from fussy calculation, the writer choose two thermal medium in common use of wood industry ( humid air, water steam) as research object on the basis of consulting related information home and abroad, developed a small thermal assistant calculation system. Users can look up the status parameters of thermal medium conveniently and rapidly, and can analyze and calculate some typical thermal process.The writer build up a thermal parameters databank of water steam which include the table of saturated water and saturated water steam (ranged by pressure), the table of saturated water and saturated water steam ( ranged by temperature), the table of unsaturated water and superheated steam. Users can look up the thermal property of water steam through input related conditions. It is impossible to include all thermal parameters of water steam in databank. To the parameter that is not existed in databank, it can realize interpolation calculation according to different condition through programming. This system has still offered some assistant thermal calculation subprograms for those equipments that used in heating system of wood industry frequently.To facilitate carrying out inquiry and calculation of thermal property of humid air, the author has drawn the engineering h-d diagram through programming. Users can inquire and calculate the status parameters of humid air and its change easily by using electronic h-d diagram. On h-d diagram, users can analyze and calculate some typical thermal process of humid air in wood industry such as heating process, add-wet process, adiabatic process and mixing process etc.This program is developed under Visual Basic 6.0 environment. It has friendly graphic interface, and is easy to learn and use. It has been debugged under Windows98/2000 operating system.
