PETN(Pentaerythritol tetranitrate) is a typical of nitric acid ester high explosive with good explosion property. It is choosed as the base of polymer bonded explosive(PBX) in this thesis. The tool of Discover in the international popular software Materials Studio and the advanced Compass force field are adopted to calculate and simulate PETN and PETN-based PBX at different temperature coated with four fluorine-containing polymers, i.e Poly(vinylidene difluoride), Polychlorotrifluoroethylene, F2311and F2314. The effect of temperature on the elastic coefficients and the effective isotropic mechanical properties of polymer bonded explosive (PBX) are discussed .The results show:1. Comparing the mechanical properties of the pure pentaerythritol tetranitrate with a serial of four PBX, it is found that the moduli decreases , the flexibility increases and the mechanical properties are improved by blending with fluorine-containing polymers in small amounts.2. On the while , it is found that the binding energy of PBX of Poly(vinylidene difluoride) PVDF with PETN is the larggest of the four PBX. Attention should be paid to it while choosing the binding.3. By comparing the mechanical properties of the four PBX at different temperature, it is found that the elastic coefficients and effective isotropic mechanical properties like tensile moduli, bulk moduli, shear moduli,Poisson's ratio and Lame coefficients decrease with the increasing temperature, which shows that the rigidity decreases and the flexibility increases.
