Badaowan formation in eastern Qizhong District and upper Karamay formation in No. 8 District are seriously heterogeneity in Example District of development effect improvement for conglomerate reservoirs in Xinjiang. At the later stage of water flooding, various problems influencing development effect are especially obvious. In order to maintain the optimum status of development for a longer term, some methods have been selected to analyze the production features at the later stage of water-injection, production technological strategy limits for reasonable reservoir pressure, injection-production rate, water-cut increasing rate and production degression have been quantified, and a model for water flooding effect evaluation which is suitable for conglomerate reservoir characteristics has been established. This project systematically studies the compatibility of oil and water wells in the example district, well pattern and infilling timing combining numerical modeling and economic evaluation methods, optimizes and selects water-injection mode, determines the limit production, water cut and development mode for remaining reserves in the reservoirs of example district.
