Chloromethyl-trichlorosilane ( ClCH2SiCl3) is an important organic-chlorosilane . It can be used for preparation of a series of a -functional silicone couple agents , such as Chloromethyl-triethoxysilane ( ClCH2Si(OC2H5)3).Chloromethyl-trichlorosilane ( ClCH2SiCl3 ) could be synthesised by methyltrichlorosilane ( CH3SiCl3) reacted with chlorine gas (Cl2) .The reaction was carried out at light catalysis . In this paper , chlorine gas as chlorine agent , visible light (incandescent lamp) as radical initiator , chloromethyl-trichlorosilane could be synthesised at gas phase . Light character ( such as light strength , wave length ) , reaction condition ( such as reaction time , reaction temperature , reactant separation parameter , reactor material , wall thickness , and Cl2 flow rate ) and synthesis technology have been discussed in this paper . Thus , the energy and reaction parameter the reaction needs were determined . And I go further into the reaction principle and reaction characteristic also.We can determined research direction by the discussion of reaction mechanism and we can find out the major influential factor . By the discussion of synthetic method , We can improve the reaction selectivity and yield and decrease by-productsAccording to the technology, the yield of chloromethyl-trichlorosilane was 80 % , and polychloro derivatives have been decreased greatly . After the technology was magnified, the experimental results were tested and verified ,and the magnified effect is better.
