This thesis selects hydrotalcite as selective IR absorption material by its characters of layer and ion-exchangeable. By comparison and research of traditional synthesis methods, we bring forward a new synthesis method, which separate the synthesis process into two steps: nucleate and aging. As the new synthesis method keep all products under the same synthesis condition, we can obtain well-dispersed hydrotalcite. Through the research of aging step, we find that we can control the size of hydrotalcite by changing aging conditions.We successfully add surface-treated hydrotalcite into PE (agriculture film),. The results indicate that it improve the IR absorption and physical properties of PE.To improve the IR absorption of hydrotalcite, we intercalate SO42- to partly replace CO32- of interlayer. On the basis of this new method, we intercalate SO42- into interlayer by adding solution of H2SO4,. Experiments show that intercalation will successfully take place under the following conditions: the crystal frame of hydrotalcite has formed, the amount of H2SO4 should make the pH lower than 7.
