This article demonstrates the near infrared reflective theories and investigates the mechanism of near infrared reflect The near infrared reflective theories are Fenil Equation and charges transition theory. Based on these two theories, this article analyzes the influencing factors of near infrared reflect. A useful conclusions have been got, which is that the reflective material must have two characters. (l)it has high refraction coefficient; (2)its forbidden belt does not locates between 0.5~3.1eV. Using the theories of ray reflect & refraction, the reflective properties ofcoat has been analyzed. Another conclusion has been got, which is thatsome kinds of dope should be added to the paint to enhance its reflectance.Under the direction of the theories and conclusions, this dissertation studied many near-IR reflective materials. At last hollow balotini enwrapped by titanium dioxide was chosen. The calculated thickness of the enwrapped TiO2 and the thickness of the coat have been studied. It is found that the most suitable thickness of the enwrapped TiO2 is mm and if the layer can envelop the base, the thichness of the coat would not effect the reflectance. Static charges attraction & neutralization theory was used to explain the mechanism of the enwrapping process.After the functional materials had been chosen, the dope must be considered. All of the studied dopes can enhance the reflectance at almost the same level, but dope A can do good for other properties of the paint besides the reflective property. So dope A was selected. The film former and additives were also studied. Two kinds of poyacrylic resin which are Type 4104 and AP-5085 were chosen as film former.Using the above materials, near infrared reflect paint was synthesized in the lab. The examine results made by CAS, Hefei Academe showed that the reflectance of the paint is over 80% to bothvisible and near-IR. Other properties of the paint is also satisfactory.
