Abstract/Summary:
In this paper, the recent studies and applications of magnetic fluids, especially in biomedicine, were introduced in detail, and developmental history of magnetic fluids was reviewed briefly, and some problems in the field of magnetic fluids were put forward. These rather a comprehensive summarization about magnetic fluids reflected the present situation and developmental trends of magnetic fluids.The process of preparing of basic-water Fe3O4 magnetic fluids was divided into two parts to discuss. Part-1, the process of preparing of nanosize Fe3O4 particles using hydrothermal method were studied, products were tested by SEM, X-ray diffraction and particle determine meter et al., results show that many factors affecting performances of Fe3O4 particles, such as temperature , raw materials concentration , reaction time and rate of Fe3+ to Fe2+ et al., the optimized reaction condition was determined as follow: the ration of Fe3+/Fe2+was 1.75, reaction temperature was 165 C and the reaction time was 7h. Mechanism of these factors affecting performances of Fe3O4 particles were discussed also; Part-2 , the process of nano-size Fe3O4 particles dispersed into water using ultrasonic was studied, products were tested by SEM and magnetic balance, results show that many factors affecting stability of water-basic Fe3O4 magnetic fluids, such as particles size of Fe3O4 particle , species of dispersing agent and acidity of system of magnetic fluids. Magneto-optical phenomenon of magnetic fluids prepared by us was observed directly by our naked eyes when magnetic fluids was under action of magnetic field and visible light, and affecting factors on the magneto-optical phenomenon were studied preliminary.
