Layered lanthanum titanates are some kind of functional materials with higher catalytic activity. In this study, the layered lanthanum titanates K2La2Ti3010 and Na2La2Ti3O10 were successfully synthesized by citric acid sol-gel method under relatively lower temperature , and the possible mechanism was primarily brought forward with the assistant of XRD, TG/DTA, FT-IR, etc. The process of modifying layered K2La2Ti3010 was studied. Not onlythe effects of different kinds of acid on the exchanged products were investigated, but also the kinetic mechanism of acid exchange reactions was investigated with a result that the apparent order of reaction was 0. 716 and the apparent velocity constant was 0. Ols-1. Different long-chain amines were successfully intercalated into the layers with one-step reaction under circulation reflux conditions.Different transition metals were loaded into K2La2Ti3O10. Ultraviolet characteristics of the products were studied, and the result showed that the energy gaps declined differently according to different metals. Simultaneously, the supported products photocatalysis degrading aminobenzene was experimented, and the optimum catalytic activity was attained when pH value of the solution was 10 and the fed catalyst amount was 1. 5g/L. It is also found that after the catalyst was supported by different metals with an optimum amount, its photocatalytic activity was improved and correlated well to the ultraviolet energy gap. Si02-La2Ti3Oi10 with high thermal stability was fabricated. Based on experiments, it is proved that the product has higher photocatalytic activity and can degrade 80 percent of aminobenzene in 2 hours.
