The ultrafine particle CuO-ZnO/TiO2-SiO2 catalysts were ?prepared by sol-gel method .Changing the content of CuO and ZnO ,the structure and surface properties of the catalysts were characterized by FT-IR?BET?TPR?XRD. The impact on catalysts reaction activity by using different content of CuO,ZnO and various process conditions were studied .By using Ti-Si as the adhesive, investigated the compression strength, the BET and the pore structure of catalysts through orthonormal experiments by changing some factors such as proportion of wet and dry powder ,the glutinousness and concentration of adhesive ,the ageing time and so on.The result showed that the untrafine particle CuO-ZnO/TiO2SiO2 catalysts had large surface area (240m2/g~590 m2/g) , the diameter distributed singly. In coordination with ZnO ,Cu2+ entered the network structure of TiO2-SiO2 system, and formed micro crystal at the skeleton . The average size of CuO crystalline grain was less than 20nm and in an oval shape. The data of reaction showed that at 2MPa,2500h-1,CO2:H2=l:3(mol), 240~260 the maximum of yield of methanol was 13.04%. The main factors that influent the compression strength of catalysts were proportion of wet and dry powder, the glutinousness and concentration of adhesive. The compression strength was 92N/cm when proportion of wet and dry powder was 100%, glutinousness of adhesive was 15.5s and concentration of adhesive was 53.9%.
